BIJU PATNAIK INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY, INDUSTRIAL TRAINING CENTER, was set up in 1997 to impar craftsmen training with the prime aim and objective of fulfilling the shortage of skilled and semi skilled workmen and to create interest in self employment among students passing HSC examination. The institute started functioning in Aug-1999 with 19 trainees each in FITTER and ELECTRICAN trade and has grown to a full fledged ITI, The institute is permanently affiliated to Govt. Of India, New Delhi, vide Letter No. DGET 6/18/5/200 ITC since August 2000 and has its permanent campus close to N.H 16 at a distance of one km. from Kuakhia Bazar.
ITI TRAINING
The Craftsmen training Scheme under NCVT was introduced by the Govt. Of India 1950 for imparting training in various vocational trades to meet the skilled manpower requirement for technological and industrial growth of the nation. The objective of the scheme are:
- To ensure a study flow of skilled workers in different trades for the industry.
- To raise the quality and quality of industrial production by systematic training of potential work force.
- To reduce unemployment among uneducated youth by equipping tem suitably for industrial employment.
To meet the requirement of skilled manpower in the industrial sectors, BIET-ITC is committed to train the young students of Odisha in the job prospective trades as per training structure prescribed by DGE & T, Ministry of Labour, Govt. Of India, New Delhi . BIET-ITC is offering training programme in engineering Trades which are affiliated by NCVT.
